What it is and who it's for
A root canal treats the soft tissue inside a tooth, called the pulp, when deep decay, a crack or an injury has inflamed or infected it. The dentist removes the affected tissue, cleans the canals and seals them. It may be right for you if you have lingering tooth pain, sensitivity to hot or cold, or swelling near a tooth. It can help many people keep their natural tooth instead of having it removed.
How it works
Talk to us
Call or WhatsApp, and tell us where it hurts and how long it's been troubling you.
Check-up and X-ray
We examine the tooth and take a digital X-ray to see the roots and any infection.
What treatment involves
The tooth is numbed, then the affected tissue is removed. The canals are cleaned, filled and sealed. Many teeth then need a crown for strength.
Your options and visits
We tell you whether the tooth can be saved, whether we'd advise a crown and how many visits to expect.
A clear written plan and quote before treatment starts
You see each stage and its cost in writing, and you can take your time to decide.
What affects the cost
- Which tooth it is and how many canals it has
- How far the infection has spread
- Whether the tooth has had a root canal before
- How many visits it takes
- Whether the tooth needs a crown, and the type of crown
You get a clear written quote after your consultation.

Common questions
Does a root canal hurt?
The tooth is numbed first with local anaesthetic, so it should feel much like having a filling. The tooth may feel tender for a few days afterwards, which usually settles with the medicines prescribed. If you're in pain now, call or WhatsApp us and we'll find you the earliest slot.
How much does a root canal cost?
It depends on the tooth, how many canals it has, how far the infection has spread and whether it needs a crown. After the consultation, you get a clear written quote, so you know the cost before treatment starts.
How long does it take?
Usually 1–3 visits, depending on the tooth. Back teeth have more canals, and an infected tooth may need an extra visit. A crown, if advised, can add a visit or two.
Is it safe? How do you keep things sterile?
Root canal treatment is a routine, well-established procedure. Digital X-rays help us see the roots and plan the work. Instruments go through central sterilisation between patients.
